Dani’s first book, Buzz the Not-So-Brave, is a story of horses, courage and compassion for kids ages 4-8.
Buzz is a quirky and lovable quarter horse from Central Oregon who is regularly frightened by everyday occurrences on his ranch, hilariously believing innocuous things like hoses and tarps to be threatening. When he is asked to do a task on the ranch which makes him tremble with fear, Buzz’s human encourages him, helping him learn that his fears are unfounded and he can be brave after all.
Buzz’s story is told with delightful, engaging illustrations designed to help readers to find courage, compassion, and understanding through the lens of horsemanship. In addition, throughout the story and in a glossary and note from the author, young readers will learn vocabulary words and interesting facts about horsemanship and ranching in the American West.
Buzz the Not-so-Brave was published by Punchline Publishers during Summer 2022 and is available for puchase now.
