HANNA WILT

(EDITED BY KATE KIESEL)

Hanna Wilt is the author and poet of I Would Live For You. Hanna passed away on Valentine's Day-- February 14, 2022, at the age of 27, after battling Mesothelioma for years. She and her sister, Kate Kiesel, began this book project before her passing as a means to create a resource for others going through seasons of suffering. The poems and musings included in the book are taken from Hanna's personal notebooks-- written as means of navigating her own walk through grief and acceptance of her terminal cancer diagnosis. The book was woven together by her sister in the year following Hanna's passing and published posthumously.

Hanna dreamt of publishing her poetry in hopes of leaving behind a tangible legacy— one that would help others going through similar suffering to know that they are not alone; that a friend has gone before them and that she wants to help carry their sorrow-- and make them laugh.
