Laura Seifert is a Bible teacher, author of Forgive. Freedom is Worth It, and the founder of Yes. Ministries.
Laura has a unique capacity to connect with a wide range of people, and she has a particular passion for ministering to women and equipping them to access the profound truths of God’s word. Motivated by this passion to help women say YES to God and to trust in His promises (2 Corinthians 1:20), Laura has an established track record of fruitful ministry.
Laura has been a featured presenter at numerous retreats and conferences, traveling around the U.S. and as far as Africa. But she also maintains a steady presence as a servant leader in her own community of Friendswood, TX, ministering to those in her sphere of influence and even serving on the local school board.
In Laura's own words:
After graduating from Texas A&M, I spent six years in the corporate world, and loved every minute of it. But there was also a steady nudge in my soul to leave corporate America and dedicate my life and career to serving the Lord in vocational ministry. The problem with that notion was the belief I held that spiritual leaders "had it all together.” They didn’t slip a cuss word in traffic or spend too much money at Target. In my mind, men and women in ministry had to be perfect, and I was anything but perfect.
To my surprise, I discovered grace … the truth that no one is perfect, which is why we all need a Savior! The more I grasp the grace and truth He has made available to me, the more I have to share it with others. So at the age of 27, I left my window office to help build a new church in the suburbs of Houston. I’ve been involved in ministry ever since, serving in various roles for more than twenty years, but ministering to women has been my greatest joy.
