Matthew Reed
Matthew Reed is Head of Development for Sustainable Finance at the EDF (Électricité de France) Group, one of the world’s largest providers of electric energy. He oversees the expansion and implementation of the Group’s sustainability commitments in its financing tools, which include nearly €8.25 billion in green and social bond issuance and €5.0 billion in sustainability-linked credit facilities. He is a member of ICMA’s Green Bond Principles Advisory Council, served as founding Secretary of the Corporate Forum on Sustainable Finance and has lectured on Sustainable Finance at the University of Oxford. His prior roles include overseeing EDF’s international sustainable development platform and managing the development and financing of wind and solar energy in North America. A native of the United States, he has lived in Paris since 2017 with his wife and two children.
